As a media organisation with a strong Christian ethos, Cornerstone Vision has been involved with an initiative called The Word in Action for several years.
There are many damaging truths about the society we live in, one of which is that over four million people in the UK have life controlling problems related to drugs or alcohol.
Media has a responsibility to raise awareness of this problem, comment on it, to educate and to create positive role models. It is against this backdrop that Cornerstone Vision has joined in a collaborative initiative with two other Christian organisations ‚ Cross Rhythms and Gilead Foundations, to promote The Word in Action.
The Word in Action is a Christian response to a specific need, where Christian media and Christian rehab work together to save lives.
It is a partnership of the three organisations, which share a similar vision. With strong character and generosity of spirit they have built together, uniting their efforts to give momentum to each other as they reach for the same goal: the betterment of society.
Alongside Cornerstone Vision, which is involved primarily in marketing and promotion, the other partners in this important collaboration are Gilead Foundations which is focused on rehabilitation from life-controlling and addictive conditions and Cross Rhythms, the leading multi-media ministry which focuses on reaching young people through broadcasting contemporary Christian music and life through radio and the internet.
Both Cornerstone Vision and Cross Rhythms provide valuable routes to market to promote the life-saving work of Gilead Foundations. This involves publishing and broadcasting information on Gilead's rehabilitation programmes, testimonies and contact details so that people can respond.
Cornerstone Vision takes this further by providing work experience for recovering addicts, giving them the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
One of Gilead's former students is now a team leader with Cornerstone Vision, providing everyone in the company with a daily reminder of God's grace and mercy.
